Master of St Edmund's College, University of Cambridge, Mr. Matthew Bullock Visits

The Master of St Edmund's College, University of Cambridge, Mr. Matthew Bullock, visited the Department of Philosophy and of Religious Studies with the accompany of researcher LIU Yang on 26th March 2018.

St Edmund's College was founded in 1896, and is among the most international Colleges of the University of Cambridge. With students from over 85 countries, St Edmund's College covers diversified fields from humanity, social science, natural science, to medical science and even veterinary science. Its philosophy research focuses on the cross study among other various disciplines.

Aiming to enhance the future cooperation with Dept. of Philosophy in PKU, Mr. Bullock was welcomed by Dept. Dean Prof. YANG Haifeng, Vice-Dean Dr. LIU Zhe and Vice-Dean Dr. WANG Yanjing. They exchanges info of faculty history and academic expertise, and also had in-depth discussion on current research focus and future development agenda. Mr. Bullock expressed his particular interest in potential dialogue between philosophy and natural science, as well as the positive impact that philosophy could have on policy-making.
